AMALFI COAST SHORE EXCURSION FROM SORRENTO PORT

Our Amalfi coast shore excursion from the port of Sorrento begins at about 8.30am and includes the tour of the Amalfi Drive with panoramic views of famous places like the Fiordo di Furore and the Emerald Grotto, where you can request to make a stop and you will visit Ravello, the music capital of the world, Amalfi, the capital of the coast and Positano, the famous vertical city of Campania frequented by VIPs from all over the world.

The romantic Ravello, the city of "Infinity"

The first stop of our trip will be in the beautiful city of music, the city of Ravello, a medieval city on the hills above Amalfi.

Here you can visit the famous Duomo dedicated to Santa Maria Assunta, which preserves the relics of San Pantaleone, the patron saint of the city. In Ravello, famous for the International Music Festival dedicated to Wagner that takes place every year, you can also visit Villa Rufolo and Villa Cimbrone, two wonderful medieval villas with gardens and terraces where you can enjoy breathtaking views over the Gulf. The most famous is the ‘Infinity terrace’, considered the world's most beautiful terrace.

Amalfi, the capital of Amalfi coast

The second stop on our excursion is Amalfi, the maritime city capital of the coast, with the famous Duomo di Sant'Andrea. Here you can have a stroll and do some shopping and sample the pastries and lemon ice cream products with quality sfusato amalfitano lemons that grow abundantly in the area.  

Positano, the city of Vips

The third stop of this shore excursion from Sorrento port will be in Positano, the gem of the coast, a destination for VIPs that anchor their yachts in the bay, but also tourists from all over the world. In Positano, you can visit the Chiesa di Santa Maria Assunta with a multicoloured majolica dome feature and also the Roman Villa which was discovered beneath the Church and dates back to Roman times, when this area was the site of rich patricians. The villa was buried because of the earthquake that was followed by the eruption of Vesuvius in 79AD.

You will have time for a stroll in the colourful streets with many trendy cafés, restaurants and artisan shops, Positano fashion, leather sandals and colourful pottery.
